Yes, paid time off (PTO) is earned by the number of hours worked. A full-time speech pathologist, physical or occupational therapist or therapy assistant can earn up to 80 hours per year. A staffing manager can give you the exact accrual schedule. Even if you work part time, you can accrue PTO.

Yes we do, and what type of holiday pay depends on the laws of the state that the therapist is working in; however, in all states, hours worked on holidays are paid at the rate of one and a half times your regular hourly rate. Please contact a staffing manager for more details.

Yes, paychecks can be directly deposited into your checking, savings or multiple accounts every Friday for all hours worked the previous week. Pay periods are Monday through Sunday. You can receive a regular paycheck by mail as well, but it will arrive later than the regular Friday payday due to time spent in the postal system.

Yes, we’ll help a therapist or therapy assistant find a regular full-time position. In many cases, our clients’ medical facility elects to hire contractors once they’ve worked with them for a while. A certain number of hours must be met from the date the facility starts an assignment with the therapist until they hire him or her. The length of time depends on TheraStaff’s agreement with the facility.

If you’re thinking about regular employment with a TheraStaff facility client or are approached to apply for a direct position, you are required to notify your staffing manager as soon as possible to discuss the options.

Generally, yes. Depending on skill level, willingness to commute reasonable distances and availability seven days per week, we can probably keep you busy full time.

We ask that you notify your staffing manager of any problems or issues you’re experiencing at a facility. Our first step is to work directly with you and the facility in an effort to resolve any issues. If you still wish to discontinue an assignment at a particular facility, we ask that you first complete the assignment initially agreed to. For long-term assignments, please provide sufficient notice so that the position may be refilled by another therapist.

Yes, we want to make the placement process as smooth as possible. The professional therapy staffing managers at TheraStaff are available 24/7 through our automated phone system as well as e-mails and text messages.

There is an agreement that spells out what we expect from you and what you can expect from us. The agreement requires that our physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists and respective therapy assistants not accept a position at any facility in which we have previously referred them to without first notifying a TheraStaff staffing manager.

This agreement ensures proper procedures are followed. Our therapists and therapy assistants are free to sign up with other healthcare temp staffing agencies if they so desire.

Virtually all rehabilitation therapy professionals working with TheraStaff are W-2 employees of our medical staffing agency doing contract work for our clients. Under certain unique and very specific circumstances, we will work with you as a 1099 independent contractor if certain conditions are met.
